10 bis 12 Uhr
Session 1: Led Class Primary Series

Kathy will guide a traditional Counted Vinyasa Class as she was taught by K. Pattabhi Jois over 50 years ago. This original Led Primary Counted Vinyasa integrates some of the classic poses, which included more breaths and some modifications of the postures – in addition Kathy will add a few poses to Primary that flow with the sequence and she will focus on the central axis that is the foundation of many poses. Overall principles for healthy alignment supporting ease and longevity of practice will be mentioned. Kathy will support students’ well-being giving hands-on adjustments.

14 bis 16 Uhr
Session 2: Breath & bandhas – vinyasa & core – deeper self

We will explore breath and bandhas with breathing exercises and how the complexities of breath, bandhas and movement bring us into the present moment, the eternal now. Being present in the body through the connection to the breath and bandhas is the key which unlocks the blocks and opens the door to our deeper self. Kathy also will give insights into vinyasa alignment including core alignment, doming the spine.  Adequate time will be left for your questions to Kathy with her over 50 years experience.

Session 3: Led Class Combination of Primary and Second Series

Kathy will guide a combined Primary and Intermediate practice adapting the poses to students' level by offering modifications. She will also cover alignment as a thread linking the postures and how to deepen your back bends integrating these teachings. Due to embodied awareness in backbendings extension insights will be possible. Kathy will support your inner journey giving adjustments for your personal assistance.

14 bis 16 Uhr
Session 4: Backbending, inversions, some 2nd Series adaptions – Pranayama – being fully present and alive

In Kathys‘ opinion it is helpful to introduce some poses from the Second Series to your Ashtanga practice. Kathy will explore principles of backbendings and inversions and she will offer some Intermediate Series adaptions. You have the amazing opportunity to recognize skillful means to access poses safely, achieve benefit for your body and mind and allow opening and deepening in practice. You always can ask Kathy anything about the Ashtanga practice included its philosophy. Finally Kathy will lead some pranayama and meditation.
